Matters of Observance
Required by Black Belts
1.
Use
Tae Kwon Do as a means of lawful justice only; i.e., self-defense or protecting
the weak.
2.
Use
discretion in showing or demonstrating Tae Kwon Do to the public. Have pride in
your knowledge of Tae Kwon Do and help spread the principles of Tae Kwon Do to
others.
3.
Always
follow, respect, and obey your Master Instructor.
4.
Try
to take the initiative regarding any school function and/or activities in order
to show leadership ability to your lower belts and respect to your instructor.
5.
Obtain
advance permission from your Master Instructor prior to taking any Tae Kwon Do
related activities; e.g., teaching, participating in tournaments, participating
in demonstrations, holding a gathering with Tae Kwon Do members, communicating
with other Martial Arts organizations and members, entering any non-Tae Kwon Do
meets if the team is composed of school members, having an interview with news
media, etc.
6.
Any
questions, problems, complications or recommendations regarding the function of
your school, USTU, Olympic Committees, and WTF should be taken up with your
Master Instructor.
7.
All
Black Belts must maintain friendly and harmonious relationships with each other
and with all members of the school system.
8.
All
Black Belts must make an effort to attend Black Belt Classes, Promotional
Tests, Tournaments, Demonstrations, and other sponsored special events.
